I had ebay recommended to me first by a friend and then surprisingly by my wife who's not one normally to sit on the internet for hours on end. This was back in January 2001 and boy, if I had a penny, hey no, let's say two pence with inflation and all that, for every hour I've probably spent on the site since then, I would be one very rich guy by now!
For the unaquainted, ebay is an 'auction' site where you can buy and sell pretty much everything you can possibly think of, from computer games to cars and kitchen suites and all the way back again. The site is immaculately presented with clear and concise screens and categories, and you'll never spend longer than a few seconds looking for what you're trying to find. Whilst you can browse everything on the site without having to register your personal details, you will need to do so to bid, buy and sell products. Registration however is quick and simple and won't inconvenience you.
It's also great, great fun though and comes highly recommended if you're looking for that certain something that you can't find anywhere else - chances are it'll be on offer here!
